About This Blog/ About Me

Welcome to my own little piece of the internet! I’m so glad you’re here.

A little about myself, a list version:

  • My name’s Kaila.
  • MFA candidate in creative writing (fiction).
  • Writer.
  • Former college student-athlete. I played volleyball.
  • DCP Alum: Disney College Program Spring Advantage 2016 participant. Basically, I worked at Disney World for a time, and I’m still a Disney parks enthusiast. I love Disney’s Animal Kingdom especially.
  • Lover of coffee, books, writing, and all things Disney and whimsy.

And now a few of sentences:

This blog’s been home to my thoughts since 2014, and I’m glad I’ve documented my life through its upkeep–if you dig deep enough, you can really see how I’ve grown through this blog. I write about a lot–this blog’s my place to write about the things that don’t “fit” anywhere else. Here’s to writing words about the things I love, and here’s to anyone who reads this.

P.S. Thank you for reading. Without readers, I would still be a writer, but it’s fun to share my words with others.

  1. Wow Kaila.. Just wow! I saw your post on Instagram earlier today and I clicked your link to have saved in my ‘Safari’ to read later.. Well I read your most recent post; which left me very intrigued! I just spent the last hour reading all your posts since you started and it was so worth the time (even tho it’s 11:30 and I’m gna be tired tomorrow :)). I love that you’re doing this! I’ve always saw you as such an intriguing person. Always wanting to listen to you and really know you ‘off the court’.. You honestly are someone that everyone should look up! You are someone I look up to; Always smiling and optimistic.. Looking at everything so positively. Yet you aren’t perfect, and I like that! And I absolutely love that you are so confident in yourself. Every aspect of yourself. You’re such an amazing person Kaila!! You truly are! I’m so proud of you and watching you grow as an athlete and person and I cannot wait to see where your life takes you!! Love ya girl πŸ™‚ looking forward to reading more of your posts!

  2. Umm hi! This may seem weird but I was wondering… could I pleaseeee have any balloons you get? Like from Disney? They’re impossible to get anywhere else. I collect balloons (I’m weird I know, sorry!) so I would love to have them, even if they pretty much deflated. If you can’t get any could you take the monorail (when you have time) and visit the resorts and ask the front desks for the balloons leftover by guests? People ALWAYS leave them behind because they usually leave by plane. I would love to reuse them instead of just letting them go to waste 😦
    Please help,
